Call for Submissions: Special Issue on Aging

The Journal of Baccalaureate Social Work (JBSW) announces a special issue on aging and invites submissions of papers.

Papers should be related to undergraduate education and practice including:

  • Infusion of aging content into the BSW curriculum
  • Human Behavior and the Social Environmen
  • Social Welfare Policy and Services
  • Social Work Practice
  • Research
  • Populations at Risk and Social and Economic Justice
  • Diversity
  • Values and Ethics
  • Field Education
  • Strategies for engaging faculty in the process of infusing aging content
  • Development of partnerships with agencies to provide field placements in provision of services to older adults (micro-mezzo-macro)
  • Strategies for recruiting students to practice social work in the arena of aging
  • Strategies for developing service-learning and intergenerational experience for students
  • Preparing students to engage in research and developing implications for practice with older adults
  • Offering elective courses that introduce students to aging and intergenerational concepts and practice
  • Other topics relevant to practice with older adults in undergraduate social work education

Manuscripts will be reviewed according to the existing criteria of The Journal of Baccalaureate Social Work. Authors are encouraged to follow the guidelines for submission of manuscripts to JBSW (available at www.sowo.tcu.edu/jbsw).

Manuscripts will be reviewed by a panel of guest reviewers specializing in aging, as well as JBSW's regular consulting editors.
