Faculty Development Institutes
Sponsored by the Council on Social Work Education and SAGE-SW, the Faculty Development program is offering one and four-day Faculty Development Institutes during the next two years. These Institutes are designed to strengthen social work faculty's ability to develop, integrate and teach aging content in new and existing courses.
The Faculty Development program has recruited several expert faculty and curriculum consultants to lead the Institutes and to develop curricular materials to be disseminated to participants. The expert faculty bring a wide range of knowledge and expertise to our program and will provide ongoing consultation as the Institutes evolve.
In order to facilitate participation in FDI's, the Faculty Development program will provide up to $900 to help defray the costs of faculty attending a four-day institute. Faculty attending a one-day FDIs as part of the CSWE/APM and BPD conferences, will pay their own travel and registration costs for attending the conference, but will not have to pay an additional charge for attending the FDI.
For further information about the Faculty Development Institutes, please go to the CSWE-SAGE-SW.
If you have questions about the FDI's or about how to apply, please contact Cathy Tompkins, Faculty Development Coordinator, ctompkins@cswe.org or 703-519-2043.
