National Institutes of Health offers Exploratory/Developmental Research Grants
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is offering grants of up to $275,000 for a two year period to encourage exploratory and developmental research projects. The purpose in providing this support is for the early and conceptual stages of these types of projects.
Funding is available for projects that may involve considerable risk but may
lead to a breakthrough in a particular area, or to the development of novel
techniques, agents, methodologies, models or applications that could have
a major impact on a field of biomedical, behavioral, or clinical research.
Grants will be offered on June 1, October 1, and February 1 annually through
April 19,
2006.
