Second funding cycle for Practicum Partnership Program

Moving Evidence-Based Interventions to Populations: A Case Study Using Social Workers in Primary Care
The Institute for Geriatric Social Work (IGSW) has released an IGSW Issue Brief based on their social work in primary care intervention. This IGSW Issue Brief discusses the challenges and opportunities in expanding evidence-based practice to a population-based intervention for frail older adults. Gero-Ed Center Gears Up for the Windy City

The CSWE Gero-Ed Center announces the 4th Annual Gero-Ed Forum (formerly NGSWC) at the Chicago Hyatt Regency from February 16-19, 2006. Join us on Friday, February 17, 2006 at noon for our Kick-Off with keynote address, "Old, Poor and Vulnerable: The Other Side of the Baby Boom," by Betsy Clark, NASW Executive Director, and entertainment by Perceptual Motion, Inc., Choreography by Lin Shook; snacks and refreshments will be served. We are also pleased to announce the 2006 invited special sessions featuring national aging experts presenting on topics with cross-cutting aging themes, such as health disparities, mental health, disability, alcoholism, and civic engagement.
