Policy Leadership Institute - Wednesday, Oct. 21st - Friday, Oct. 23rd
The Policy Leadership Institute provides an opportunity for Geriatric Social Work Faculty Scholars and Geriatric Nurse Scholars to focus on the skills needed to make public policy a part of their academic life. Participants attend workshops and hear from experts in public policy, who provide information and training on key elements of engaging in the policy process. The highlight of the institute is a visit to Capitol Hill, where scholars meet with staff members of congress to discuss their research.

Orientation Institute - Friday, Oct. 23rd - Sunday, Oct. 25th
The Orientation Institute provides an opportunity for the scholars to meet with their fellow scholars, with their mentors, and to refine their research while working within a supportive and challenging environment. Participants attend workshops and present posters on their proposed and current research projects.
